Today we worked on our digital portfolios for the Summer Academy Open House. The portfolios will include three 8" by 10" photos, an Artist Statement, five to ten edited photos, and our "name in nature picture." The two pictures of people on computers are Kellie, Nya, Ben, and Matthew working on the digital portfolios. The other two pictures are edited pictures.

Today we had a big photoshoot! We took portrait pictures and found the letters of our names in nature. We even saw a giant snapping turtle and got to watch her lay her eggs! This final photoshoot was so that we could finish up all the pictures we needed for our portfolio. So overall this was a really great day, except we got a little wet from all the puddles!!

Today we dissected sheep eyes. It was disgusting but cool. When you cut it open, black oozing juices came out of the eyeball. The lens was attached to this clear jelly like substance called the vitreous humor that was made out of fat and water. We learned that sheep eyes and cameras are very similar. They both take the picture and turn it right side up, they also both have lenses. We also edited pictures from the photo shoot we took at the park yesterday.
